
For those of you whom we have not yet met, here is a little bit about us:
We, Stephan and Sherrie Bachmann, first got introduced to the restaurant industry when we worked as servers to pay our way through college. Sherrie went on to restaurant management. Stephan went on to work as a wine steward.
After college we went on to other careers. However, we continued dreaming of having a restaurant where friends and family could gather to share good food and swap stories. Sliders, finally, turns that dream into a reality.
Stephan developed a love of food and its preparation back in his native Berlin, Germany while sitting on his grandmother's kitchen counter as a child and watching her prepare delicious meals. Sherrie, after spending years torturing Stephan with failed attempts to produce anything edible, decided to get serious and take some cooking lessons! Five years later, she no longer burns air and now enjoys the great pleasure of sitting at the table and watching her family and friends enjoy a meal that she created.
In addition to Stephan's featured Slider Burgers and Vidalia Onion Rings, Sherrie's BBQ Slider and her Brunswick Stew have become keys items on the restaurant's menu. We smoke our own pork, and Sherrie makes her own BBQ sauce right here at the restaurant. If you ask Sherrie about her Brunswick Stew, this is what she will say: "It was the first thing that ever prepared that elicited a, 'This is the best I have ever tasted response' from someone eating something that I had prepared."
Recently, we entered the stew in the celebrated Brunswick Georgia Stewbilee. Sherrie's stew placed in the finals. The Stewbilee represented an opportunity to show off our love for preparing a meal for family and friends and provided an opportunity to introduce Sliders Restaurant to the public. This restaurant has been a dream that we have shared, and we are so proud to be fulfilling that dream here in Hartwell, Georgia. Most important to us is an opportunity to have a great time trying something new with cherished friends at our side.

Lil' burger makes big debut
(Mar. 6, 2008) The wait is over for the "best lil' burger by the lake."
Sliders officially opened for business March 4, but the day before, it hosted a private ribbon cutting for local business and community
leaders.
The restaurant is located next to Swamp Guinea on Reed Creek Highway.
